With Halloween closing in it’s time to share some final favorites. Nirvan Mullick’s stop-motion treat “The Box Man” was a huge hit back in 2002 based on the novel, of the same name, by author Kobe Abe. Mullick has gone on to found The 1 Second Film foundation which is a non-profit org that uses collaborative art on a global scale to address various critical social-issues.
Next up is longtime favorite by animator and writer/director Mike Dougherty. Dougherty recently expanded some of what you see above into the live action Halloween horror “Trick ‘r Treat”. The film was a huge hit at Fantastic Fest this last year with great reviews leaving us to wonder why the film was unceremoniously dumped on DVD.
