We’re back and slooowly recovering from a bang up one-two punch weekend with Comic Con and our New York premiere. There are a zillion Con pics online so I won’t punish you with more snaps of convention craziness. We hit San Diego Wednesday and headed to NY Thursday so our visit this year to Comic Con was brief. New York was a blast! Our IFC opening was the best turn out the Animation Show has seen in the big apple and the events are still rolling this week as Bill Plympton is set to host a killer Q&A Thursday night (after the 8:20 show). Recovery from weeks and weeks of travel made this trip a tough one to plow through though. We caught up with Sarah and PES Monday night before heading out of town and didn’t really have a chance to see the rest of the NYC animation posse. Rebecca and I were couch surfing with friends all over Manhattan so just getting one or two people together for a drink got complicated. The travel is officially over though now. And it’s time to recover and clean house. A huge thank you goes out to Dave Carter and Trevor Jimenez for a triumphant Q&A Friday night and PES and Dave Levy last night. The slide show below shares a bit more too with our other kick-off guests Cheer New York. A gaggle of press from the event streamed in over the weekend and we’ll load the highlights up over in the review post under headlines. The tour is still going strong with big openings this week in Jacksonville Florida and Stamford Connecticut and ton of new dates will land on the schedule page later this week.
