I've been watching the Flintstones episodes from the Season 4 box set and I've been curious why Bea Benaderet did not receive any credit for voice talent in the closing credits. It is clearly her voice doing Betty Rubble but there is never a mention of Bea doing voice talent.

Does anybody out there know why she did not receive voice talent credit for the Flintstones 4th season?

I don't have that particular set, but in most episodes she received credit. Blue Hombre, are you sure the episodes have individual credits? I know WB was trying to recreate credits, but I don't know if they did, or just used a blanket credit for an episode that Bea wasn't in, as happens in syndication.

I am very positive. I've watched each and every episode on all of the box sets (except for the episodes on disc 4 of the fourth season box set. I'll start watching those tonight). All of the correct end credits are in place on both seasons 3 and 4 Flintstones box sets. I'm very keen on the different voice actors and so far each episode's end credit has been perfect on the voice actors. The only anomaly is that Bea is not mentioned at all in the fourth season end credits. She was credited in the third season set but not the fourth. Every other voice actor is correctly identified in each show's end credit. The only person missing is Bea.

Sounds like you have quite the "Bea" in your bonnet. Be sure to let us know what you find out. My curiosity is peaked.

Could it have had anything to do with Bea's role as Aunt Pearl in Season 1 of "The Beverly Hillbillies" followed by her starring role in the "Petticoat Junction" series?

Her health took a turn for the worse, and she phased out voice work to have the energy for her on camera roles-- and died soon after, June Lockhart was brought in to be a matronly role model as a doctor, new to the area in Hooterville for the last two seasonsof P.J.

My favorite voice she did was as Red Riding Hood in the Bugs Bunny short (Red Riding Hare?)
gangly, and be-spectacled,singing really badly---LA LA LA LA LA LA LA LA LA!

This was a few years after the Flintstones were off the air, though.

There are a few episodes that have "Pebbles only" opening and closing titles. I presume when the distributor culled a closing title to use for these episodes, it happened to be one that did not include a credit for Betty -- only Reed, Vander Pyl, and Blanc are credited (along with June Foray and a couple of other supporting cast). Then along comes Bamm Bamm, and all syndicated prints from then on credit Gerry Johnson (again, this credit sequence presumably came from a single episode.)

She died then(2 years after the FStones aired 1968), but as I said -- she phased out of voice work--about the 4 th season of the Flintstones(1964), the second season of Petticoat Junction is when she bowed out of the Flintstones-- that is about the same time as the events you mention--right after Bamm Bamm's doorstep entrance.
